Petite on Point

It's no secret that most runway fashion is made for, well... models. As in, 5'9"+, impossibly long-legged, gorgeous creatures who make up maybe 2.5% of the population. So what are the rest of us to do? What exactly does ready to wear stand for even?

Enter one of my personal fashion inspirations: Miroslava Duma, Russian fashion writer/editor and founder of Buro247.ru. Never one to shy away from fabulous statement outerwear, voluminous layers and a good midi or maxi skirt/dress, Miroslava shows that RTW looks can work on an average (or below average!) height frame. A trustworthy tailor and sky-high heels also help, of course!

And for the record, while Miroslava's exact height isn't available anywhere online, it's rumored she is between 5'1" and 5'3" - which probably makes her about 5'2", which is my height! Thanks to her example, I am definitely ready to try out some of this spring's longer, fuller silhouettes.
